Park Avenue Synagogue (PAS) is one of the largest Conservative congregations in North America. DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
We are seeking a passionate, self-motivated, and logistics-minded individual to join our Adult Engagement team. The Adult Education Coordinator role focuses on implementing many of the synagogue’s learning opportunities for adults, including weekly classes, scholars in residence, study circles, and our Melton program. Participation in PAS classes has seen tremendous growth, and we are looking for someone to oversee the logistics of our many educational offerings that take place in person and online.
This position will report to the Director of Synagogue Programming and Adult Education and will work closely with the Director of Content and Innovation and the clergy to implement our robust educational offerings in line with the educational vision for the PAS community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Coordinate the scheduling, setups, and day to day details of ongoing classes
· Oversee course registrations, track attendance, correspond with students and faculty, order books and program materials
· Evaluate classes and programs to inform the development and enhancement of our offerings
· Prepare contracts for part-time instructors, and manage part-time faculty record-keeping
· Implement Melton program, including overseeing all logistics for fall and spring openings, material distribution and registration, extracurricular activities, and promotional events
· Ensure that weekly classes are operating smoothly
· Support the Study Circles program, including scheduling group meeting dates, communicating with group leaders, confirming teaching assignments, and managing zoom rooms and in-person setups for study circle sessions.
· Serve as a staff liaison to programmatic committees as assigned, assisting them with programs for their groups
· Update PAS website with information about adult learning classes and assist with publicity across multiple platforms for programs and classes, including invitations, website content, flyers, email blasts and brochures in conjunction with the Communications department
· Work as part of the Adult Engagement team to be present for events when needed, including lectures, Shabbaton, Shabbat dinners, etc, and work on event details as required
· Work with the department’s Administrative Assistant to ensure that invoices and billing for classes are submitted and maintained, and that orders are placed
· Keep abreast of best practices and latest trends for Jewish adult educational offerings amongst comparable synagogues, Jewish organizations and other educational institutions
QUALIFICATIONS:
· A minimum of 3 years of experience with a strong track record of excellent project management, program planning, execution and administration skills:
* Exceptional attention to detail, appreciation for planning and logistics; Ability to implement multiple programs, classes and events with different deadlines; Ability to operate within a departmental budget
· Team player with strong interpersonal skills: ability to work collaboratively with clergy, other educational team members and lay leaders to implement a vision and achieve programmatic goals
· Familiarity with Zoom, PowerPoint and other technical tools to run online/hybrid programming
· Ability to update sections of the PAS website and create and send email campaigns.
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· General knowledge of current Jewish adult education and programming trends
· Professional experience in Jewish education, camping, Hillel campus or synagogue setting preferred
· Knowledge of Salesforce and event registration systems a plus
